October 30, 2012 - Melbourne, Australia
With Gary and Sebastian off to work I had the day to explore Melbourne. I went from their flat to Queen Victoria Market, which was probably a mile or two walk.
I purchase my calendar of Aussie hunks - which was my main objective for visiting the market. After lunch I took the tourist tram around the city. Melbourne is one of the easiest cities to get around. This is my fifth visit to Melbourne and still I find new and exciting things.

October 31, 2012 - Melbourne, Australia
Happy Halloween. The TV coverage has been focusing on super storm Sandy which hit the New York - New Jersey area. I have not heard from my relatives yet but I assume that is because there is no electricity.
I headed to the Melbourne Zoo today since I have never seen a kangaroo in Australia.
I passed the Melbourne Cemetery with a large Jewish section. Then I saw some very English buildings at Melbourne University.
The Zoo was very modern with an easy to follow path. I was very excited when I saw the kangaroos hopping all over the place - not. They were taking a siesta. The emus were, however, walking among the visitors. I also saw three of Australia's little penguins. The koalas were not on display today, but I've seen them before.
Then there was a herd of painted elephants. The real ones were nowhere to be seen.
I took Gary and Sebastian out for dinner on my final night in Melbourne.

November 1, 2012 - Melbourne, Australia to London, England
Today was another long travel day to London. I got to the airport early to visit the new first class lounge and get a neck and shoulder massage. The flight takes almost 24 hours with a stopover in Singapore. I'll probably have eight meals before the day is over.
The first flight (8 hours) was from Melbourne to Singapore. After ninety minutes we re-boarded for another 13 hours of bliss. I had many meals, much sleep and watched lots of movies.
